For Macomb, Wayne, and Oakland county Members, we call the pharmacies on this list our "in-network pharmacies" . This is because we have made arrangements with them to provide prescription drugs to plan members. In most cases, your prescriptions are covered under AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care only if they are filled at a network pharmacy or through our mail-order pharmacy service.

Once you go to one pharmacy, you do not have to keep going to the same pharmacy to fill your prescription. You can switch to any other of our in-network pharmacies. We will fill prescriptions at out-of-network pharmacies under certain circumstances. See your Member Handbook for more information.

How large is the pharmacy network?

You can fill your prescriptions at more than 63,000 network pharmacies nationwide. AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care (HMO D-SNP) contracts with OptumRx^SM to provide Medicare Part D prescription benefit management services. This includes a large pharmacy network to meet your needs.
