Medicare Part D prescription drug plans help pay the cost of your prescription drugs.

While it is not included with original Medicare (parts A and B), it is included with AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care (HMO D-SNP), giving you protection from prescription drug costs and peace of mind.

For Miami-Dade and Broward, Lake, Martin, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, or Seminole county, AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care covers both brand name drugs and generic drugs. Generic drugs have the same active ingredient as brand name drugs. Generic drugs usually cost less than brand name drugs and are rated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be as safe and effective as brand name drugs.
